Although of secondary importance, documentation and records are an important part of the EMT’s responsibility. EMT’s may not have the time to capture pertinent information when they are focused on the patient’s status. But when a human life is at stake, all parties involved want assurance that every effort was made to ensure a successful outcome. So what type of documentation is required?
